My career as a theatrical designer and scenic artist as well as owner of a commercial fabrication studio provided me decades of exploration into artists’ work across the gamut of history, styles and media.
Now my focus has turned to what I have to say with my art.  Currently, my work consists primarily of landscape oil paintings and watercolors, also domestic environments and portraits.  I am drawn to scenes with color, emotional tension, and dramatic contrast.  I may abstract elements to enhance those impressions.  My goal is to express / share / recreate that same emotion or ache of longing in the viewer of my piece.
In my previous career I was known as a highly skilled theatrical artist adept at the entire range of theatrical painting skills from trompe l’oeil architecture, faux finishes, scenic backgrounds, foliage and sculpting.
For 25 years with my commercial design/fabrication studio, Kinc, I was respected as a dedicated manager with extensive experience in guiding artistic installations from inception through realization, consistently delivering the highest quality results on time and in budget.  We prided ourselves on our ability to maintain the artistic integrity of a project throughout its entire process resulting in consistently highly received and award winning temporary and permanent installations.
